The library opens at 7:15 most mornings for 1st - 5th grade students who wish to return or check out books. Students must get a library pass from the teacher on duty in the gym (1st - 3rd grades) or hall (4th and 5th grades) before coming to the library.
Computer Lab #2 is open from 7:15 to 7:35 for 1st - 5th grade students who wish to take an AR test before school. Students must get a computer lab pass from the teacher on duty in the gym (1st - 3rd grades) or hall (4th and 5th grades) before coming to the computer lab. Students should have the title of the book and the author's name or the AR test number available when they come to Computer Lab #2.

LCISD students may check out books according to their grade levels:
Pre-K and K: 1 book for 6 days
Second - Third: 2 books for 6 days
Fourth - Fifth: 2 books for 13 days
Students may not check out a book if they already have an overdue book. Elementary students will not be assessed overdue fines. However, they must pay for lost or damaged books.
